The Transition Clinic has been the first major event of the Topeka Triathletes, which had been chartered only the day before! The clinic, which targeted from novices who just want to know what it is all about to experienced triathletes looking to shave off time from their transitions, covered what equipment is needed on race-day, how to set-up your area, transition etiquette and time-saving tips on getting in and out of transition quickly and safely.
The approximately 20 participants were asked to bring race gear-running shoes, bike, helmet – as the clinic was designed to be "hands-on." All clinic participants received a goody bag with Clif products, a coupon for $50 off the start-up fee for a coaching program with Coach Karen Buxton as well as a chance to win a pre-built training plan from www.coachbuxton.com.
